Remarks

medium sized, solid pecten which can be very colourful
differs from Decatopecten plica (Linnaeus, 1758) from the Indo-Pacific by the number of ribs:

	Decatopecten amiculum 7-11 ribs, more weakly developed more circular shell
	Decatopecten plica 3-5 strong ribs more elongated shell
